Pinnacle is what is known as an all is one site. This means that, unlike casino exclusive sites like Manhattan Slots of Las Vegas USA, this site focuses on more than one type of betting. There is the odd instance of betting sites that focus exclusively on sports as well, like Centrebet, but the former is much more common.

However, this doesn’t mean we’ll be giving the all in one sites too much slack on the casino front. While it is often true that a site that is able to focus on one site element can create a better, if not more limited overall product, that’s not always the case. The likes of Virgin Casino and Sportsbook have really upped what can be expected from an all in one site.

With that in mind, we will be expecting very good things from every part of the Pinnacle site. It has to offer the best of the best for it to truly compete with the big boys.

One thing we will keep in mind however is the creative freedom that casinos tend to enjoy over all in one of sports exclusive betting sites in the design department.

You’ll notice that the likes of Royal Panda and Mansion Casino have more flashy sites than Ladbrokes. This doesn’t mean that the design is any better or worse. It’s simply that having a more streamlined product appears to open the doors for a greater scope of designs. So if you are mainly or solely looking for a casino and that kind of style appeals to you, then you might be better suited to casino exclusive sites.

Plenty of players do like the conservative looks of the latter though. It might not be the reason they are popular but it certainly hasn’t hurt them. A business like approach is often preferred by some people over the mascots and endorsements seen from the likes of SuperLenny and Realdealbets.

Because this and other site elements, such as your priorities in what you want from a site, are quite subjective, we advise you check out the site and some competition for yourself. Alongside this, you can also enjoy our other extensive reviews. This is the best way to get a full picture of what’s out there.

Choosing a site with so much variety can be a touch overwhelming. That’s why we aim to offer the most extensive and fair minded reviews on the net. For every question we ask, we’ll look at both positive and negative aspects of each part of the site. We strive to give you the fullest picture, with everything from customer service to promotions covered.

With introductions out of the way, let’s ask the most important things you’ll want to know about Pinnacle.

  1. Does the site have a good reputation?

Reputation can mean two things in this context.

Firstly, it means whether a site is secure and trustworthy, in terms of its license for example. Secondly, it means whether it has a good reputation in the sense of whether it is critically well received and has good feedback from its customers.

SSL encryption

According to its site, Pinnacle is licensed by Curacao and by Malta. Both come with license numbers so it’s all looking good on that score. Although we couldn’t find reference to it actually on their site, they do, according to our research, utilise 128 bit SSL encryption technology.

This means that the site appears to be fully licensed and legal. It also means your data should be safe and secure when using their site.

In terms of customer and critical reception, we can say that in the case of the latter, reviews certainly look more positive than they do negative. We won’t say the site it the most critically lauded in the world. But we can say that the good appears to far outweigh the bad.

On the other hand

There’s more good news to start off. We can’t actually find many customers that have more bad to say about the site.

The bad news is that’s because we can’t find many customers who have much to say about it at all. This isn’t necessarily a negative thing and there is the odd snippet of feedback here and there. But the truth is there’s not enough for us to say with any confidence that these responses likely reflect the general level of customer satisfaction.

We try to stay as factually honest as possible. That means that sometimes the facts are a touch disappointing. This is one of those occasions.

On the plus side, it’s often the case that no news is good news. That’s because customers are more likely to complain than they are to compliment. At the moment, all we can say is there’s not enough information out there to discern a big enough sample size to reach a conclusion.

  1. What’s their customer service like?

Pinnacle help and support

At the moment, the only method of contacting Pinnacle is via a contact form. This is found through the help button at the bottom of your screen. There’s also a betting resources section, which is decent enough and may be able to help you with a question you may have.

On the other hand

Unfortunately, a lack of options means that if the betting resources section does not have the answers you are looking for, there’s no instant way of getting an answer to your question. Having no live chat and no phone line is a massive blow for the site. It means they cannot possibly compete with so much of their competition in this regard.

In terms of customer response, you could pretty much reread our comments on their reputation here. Except this time, there’s no overwhelmingly positive critical consensus to fall back on. It’s simply not mentioned very often. However, considering how far behind the times Pinnacle is in this regard, we cannot imagine it will be greatly more enthusiastic than the critics on this matter.

  1. Does the Pinnacle site have mobile options?

Pinnacle mobile

Onto something a touch more positive now. Pinnacle does indeed have the capacity to be played on mobile through your browser.

It’s compatible with most mobile devices. So in all likelihood, you should find no issues here. Everything from Android devices to iOS iPhones are covered. So whether you’ve got a Windows phone, Blackberry, iPhone,  you can play on the go with Pinnacle.

On the other hand

We have nothing really negative to say here. It has exactly what you’d want. The only negative is the lack of an app, which would make it more convenient. But the mobile site works pretty well on the browser so it’s not a huge issue.

The only other problems we could mention are those that befall all mobile sites. This includes slow internet connections and connections cutting out at vital moments for example. But there’s not much Pinnacle can do about that.

  1. Do they have any decent promotions?

Pinnacle promotions page

Sadly, this is an aspect of the site where it is a let down, at least in the traditional sense. It doesn’t have anything that we can see on the site that we’d consider a promotion, despite having a promotion page. This will no doubt frustrate potential customer who were looking forward to a juicy welcome bonus and a few extras cherries on top of their betting site dessert.

So what exactly does Pinnacle put on its promotions page?

Well, what it has instead are essentially arguments as to why Pinnacle is a site that you should choose above the rest.

The benefits

These include:

  • Highest Odds:
Pinnacle has been independently rated number 1 for highest odds according to its site. While we couldn’t verify that claim, high odds is something they are consistently praised for across the web, so there’s likely something in it.

  • Winners are Welcome:
We’ve written in the past about issues with sites banning or severely limiting customers who have been too successful. Pinnacle promises that on their site, this is not the case and that you will not get banned for winning. This may not sound like much to casual players but for many, this is likely to be an incredibly important part of their decision making process when choosing a betting site.

  • Unrivalled Reputation:
Here they present their case as to why, since their inception in 1998, they have a reputation to battle the big boys. While they admit that you may not have heard of them, they want you to know there’s a reason they’ve stuck around for so long.

  • Arbitrage Betting:
While this form of betting may not be much interest to many of our readers, the inclusion of arbitrage betting really is a big selling point. It gives it a unique selling point to offer that separates it from the pack. They also state you’ll get the same high quality odds and the same promise that you will not be penalised for success.

  • The Highest Limits:
Another big draw for the high roller, Pinnacle promise massive bet limits. This means if you want to play big, then this is the place to do it. Once again, it may be meaningless to the casual player but very important for big spenders. Alongside their winners are welcome policy, this will have a lot of betting site enthusiasts excited.

  • Get Better Than Exchange:
This promises better odds than betting exchanges with no hidden fees on winnings. They’re even so bold as to compare their site to the excellent Betfair, so you know they mean business.

Our impression

Pinnacle benefits

This is a very hard one to judge. Because if we are judging it as a promotions page traditionally, then it’s a total bust. It isn’t a promotions page, really.

However, it is one of the best pitches for why you should pick this site over the competition we have ever seen. They position themselves as the site for high rollers and explain with surgical like precision why that is the case.

Here, what Pinnacle is becomes completely clear. They are a serious betting site who are not concerned with promotions or gimmicks. Instead they are aiming to create the best possible offers, especially for big time players, on the web.

We don’t know whether that will convince you that’s true, but it’s one hell of a pitch.

On the other hand

Pinnacle reasons to bet

Well, there’s no reason you can’t be a serious betting site and sprinkle on a little promotional fairy dust here and there.

While we understand, as is made very clear from this page, the way they are pitching themselves, the truth is a few bonuses could do nothing but enhance the site. Maybe they are focusing less on casual players. But that doesn’t mean they can’t still try to entice a wider audience with some fun extras.

Plus promotions when done well have the added benefit of creating a real sense of personality and excitement. It’s like the betting site is a constantly evolving entity with a community and a sense of life. If nothing else, Pinnacle is missing out on that feeling.

  1. Is the site well designed?

Pinnacle site design

Much like its apparent philosophy, Pinnacle is very business like in its aesthetic approach.

On the plus side, this means the site comes across very well in terms of structure and technical responsiveness. There’s little game changing here, but considering that can be said for many of the most popular betting sites in the world, perhaps they’re onto something.

On the other hand

Pinnacle casino

We don’t mind site design conservatism when it comes to betting sites. As mentioned, it seems to suit many sites very well. However, it would be nice to see more sites do a little something to distinguish themselves, at least with their looks if not structure wise.

  1. What does Pinnacle have to offer?

In terms of content, as we’ve mentioned, this is an all in one site. So included is a sportsbook, casino and live casino. It also has a dedicated e-sports section, which is excellent. Plenty of sites miss out on this growing opportunity, even very good sites like Intertops.

The sports available at the time of writing include:

  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Cycling
  • eSports
  • Football
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Crossfit
  • Formula 1
  1. So what do we think about Pinnacle?

Pinnacle logo

Initially, Pinnacle comes across as just another betting site. It doesn’t on the surface appear to be offering anything more than hundreds of sites out there already do.

However, this is a betting site with hidden depths and ones that really do amount to something substantial. While these benefits are outlined in their mis-titled promotions page will benefit lots of players, there’s no doubt that its more serious players who will really make the most out of this diamond in the rough.
