Nordicbet Review

Nordicbet Review

Nordicbet is an online casino and sports betting site with an excellent reputation online. In fact, the vast majority of opinions regarding the brand are extremely positive. We take a close look at this betting operators features in our Nordicbet review. We also test key aspects such as registration, site design usability and navigation and much more.

Site Design

Before you get started with any gaming site, it’s important to take a look around and decide if this is a place where you want to spend your time and hard earned cash. While there are more important things in gaming than looks, with so much to choose from in the sportsbook world, you may as well pick a site that satisfies your eyes as well as your wallet. Obviously all aesthetic opinions are entirely personal, so we’ll be looking at the site in as objective a way as possible throughout this review to give you an idea of what you’re in for. While one person’s beauty is another one’s beast, there’s certainly some site designs which are a beauty for more people, such as the beautifully designed Rich Casino, compared to less attractive sites like Jupiter Club.

However, as we mention in those reviews, there may be someone who loves a big garish purple site and hates more classically designed ones. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

Overall theme

First of all, there are a few layers to Nordicbet’s design which, we hasten to point out, do not fit with a Nordic themed site. While that would certainly be  a unique design direction, we think the more straightforward angle they’ve gone with here was probably the best choice in the long run. There’s only so far you can take Viking themed promotions.

NordicBet language options

The first page you’ll land on when you visit Nordicbet is a very clear, spacious page: the top half of which is covered by a a deep sky blue shade with a footballer striking a celebratory poise wearing the Nordicbet sponsored shirt. To the left of him in big white letters reads “Welcome to Nordicbet! We’re here to make your day!” Above this slogan lies the Nordicbet logo, beneath which reads “Love the game”.

Look and feel

All of this, while perfectly adequate, is about as clichéd a series of images on a sports betting site can get. It all looks fine but at this juncture, the site is severely lacking in personality. Even more strangely, the logo itself is quite far removed from the pitch perfect image of “generic sports site”.

Oddly enough, it’s presented in a way which is rather reminiscent of a travel agent. It even comes with its own random set of squiggles next to it, which appear to be chosen for no reason at all. Actually, considering the sky blue motif and the logo, this design would be better suited to a travel agent site than an online sportsbook.

Further down, there’s a short paragraph explaining what the site has to offer and to the left of this is a series of languages to choose from, which are placed over an image of a large map. So far, the site design has moved between dull and strange, if fairly straightforward and serviceable.

NordicBet site design

Luckily however, this short language based detour was a misnomer, as once you move into the main homepage, the design comes together and looks a great deal better. The logo is still a little off but inoffensively stationed to the top left of the screen, it’s more of like a stamp on a letter than anything that really leaves a lasting impression.

Colour and layout

The colour scheme here is a little darker than the blue in the language page and doesn’t fade to white. These little touches make all the difference. We’ve gone from spacious skies, which while pretty don’t really suit the hustle and bustle of sports betting sites, to a bouncy, colourful playroom.

This type of colour scheme really suits more Americanised sites and don’t let the name fool you, Nordicbet is sponsored by the CHL (Champions Hockey League) and prominently displays wild west themed attractions. Nordicbet is far more casino in the desert than the horns on a helmet.

NordicBet toolbar

The site follows a fairly straightforward layout. To the top right of the page, you have your options to log in and register. Below that, you have your main toolbar, which includes options for Sportsbook, Live Bet, Casino, Live Casino, Virtual Sports, Poker and Promotions. Scroll lower and you will see a slider advertising the bonuses available.

The rest of the page is broken into various links, however, the spacing of these is a little off. This makes the site seem more clustered than necessary, but not to the extent it is likely to cause any serious problems. It’s the bottom half of the page where things take a turn for the worse, with a splurge of random links and information with very little order to them. It’s informative, but could be executed better.

NordicBet homepage footer

Nordicbet sports page

The sportsbook page is stunning, with a huge stadium image in the background and a bright, easy to follow series of betting options, including a ever handy pay slip. It’s such a brightly designed page, it feels like you’ve set the lighting options on you computer screen up a few notches by mistake. The virtual sports page looks equally as good.

NordicBet sportsbook page

The live casino and poker pages are around the same design level as the homepage and is also annoyingly hindered by an overly literary lower half. This isn’t the worst thing in the world though: plenty of sites have the exact opposite issue, where you can’t find any good information about them. However, it still feels that more thought could have been put into presenting these links in a more appealing and consistent way.

NordicBet live casino page

Overall, Nordicbet is a fairly well designed site, if not a bit of a mixed bag in places. Ultimately though, it succeeds more often than it fails. It’s just a shame that with the excellence of certain pages, they wrote a cheque the website as a whole couldn’t cash.

How to get started

If you like what you see from the site, you can register by clicking the big orange ‘Register’ button at the top right of your screen. If you’ve ever signed up to a casino and/or sportbook site, you’ll know the drill here.

NordicBet on mobile

You’ll need to enter your personal details, such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail, date of birth, gender, and currency. You’ll also need to confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and are of legal age to gamble, as well as deciding whether you want to receive promotional information through the contact information you have been given.

Keep in mind, these can be fairly frequent so if you’re not planning on being a huge user of the site, it might be worth giving that a miss and checking out the offers in your own time. It’s also important to sign up with your personal e-mail address and not a work email.

Be sure to keep your password safe by using a unique set of characters and numbers. In other words, don’t use a password that you use on another site and avoid anything that could be guessed.

NordicBet registration

In order to deposit funds, you’ll also need to input your bank details. It’s very important to make sure all this information is absolutely correct, as you may need to verify this information at a later date. Also, this information cannot have been used on this site before or you may find yourself running into problems.

Not only does this include the likes of your e-mail and home address but also your ip address. So if you think someone living with you or someone with access to your computer may have signed up to this site, you may want to check with them before depositing any funds.

Promotions on offer at Nordicbet

Our Nordicbet review uncovered some notable promotions on offer:

£10 Free Bet Every Week

NordicBet £10 promotion

The main promotion featured on the site is from their sponsor CHL. Similar to 21 Bet, Nordicbet opts, instead of running one massive bonus which requires an enormous amount of betting on the players part, to have an ongoing small bet every week.

In this promotion, you’ll receive £10 every week by placing a qualifying bet of at least £10 to odds of 1.50 on any CHL match. Other terms and conditions can be found on the site. This offer is nearly identical to the one seen on 21 Bet, with the notable difference of the sports it is available on. If you like hockey, this is one hell of a treat.

Casino Welcome Bonus

NordicBet casino bonus

This is a 100% welcome bonus on your first deposit to the casino, capped at 50 euros. It also comes with 25 free spins available on selected games.

The minimum deposit is £10 and it has a rather mediocre wagering requirement of 35x. This isn’t too hefty a wagering requirement compared to some other sites: the kicker here is that this wagering requirement must be met within 14 days, which is an extremely limited time period to reasonably expect customers to make that bonus. You do not need a Nordicbet bonus code for this offer.

Poker Welcome Bonuses

This bonus is actually split into three stages. Firstly, you have the £1000 welcome bonus. There is very little information on this bonus, other than that you will need to “grind day and night” in order to receive it.

The next offer is the option to participate in two free tournaments worth £1000 and £500. which is decent enough. Finally, there’s the achievement bonus, in which you’ll have 10 days to fulfill 10 poker achievements to receive instant rewards, including cash and free spins. These offers look fairly decent. It is just a shame about the vagueness of the £1000 welcome bonus.

NordicBet promotions

Other offers include the chance to win free spins in the Wild Wild West Roulette, the opportunity to win an iPhone 7, guaranteed tournaments, 10k monthly prizes, £35000 free roll prizes and more. All in all, this is a decent promotional showing by Nordicbet.

Nordicbet Reputation

Our Nordicbet review revealed that they have a truly excellent reputation among their customers. It is an extremely rare thing to have a site be around for as many years as they have without some kind of customer backlash. However, when it comes to Nordicbet opinions, you hardly hear a bad word said about them. That’s a truly rare thing indeed. What’s more, critics appear almost as enamored.

Nordicbet rating and summary

NordicBet logo

Our Nordicbet review found little doubt that Nordicbet is an impressive site. The site design may be a little inconsistent here and there, particularly with regards to some of the landing selection pages, but overall it’s a good effort. The functionality in design scored well in our Nordicbet test. We also found most Nordicbet opinions to be very positive in this regard.

The promotions range in their quality, but there’s enough good stuff there to keep you interested. Our Nordicbet test on customer service showed this to be absolutely stellar. This is reflected in their reputation and satisfied customer opinions. In summary, this is excellent place to bet and our Nordicbet rating is excellent.
