We’re going to be taking a look at a sportsbook and casino site known as JenningsBet. Despite having several physical retail outlets throughout the UK, JenningsBet remains relatively unknown compared to larger sites, such as Royal Panda Casino, Virgin Casino and Mr Green.
Through this review, we’ll be looking at all the main things you’ll want to consider when signing up to JenningsBet.
Now there’s a bunch of things we can all agree make a good betting site. Great customer service, a variety of games and good value promotions are just a few.
However, in this golden age of online gaming, you can afford to be a little picky. In fact, with all the choice out there, you can afford to be very discerning with your site choices.
With that in mind, we always recommend you check out not only this site, but some of its competition for yourself. We always do our absolute best to give you a clear idea of what to expect, but certain things do come down to personal taste.
With all that’s on offer, it’s best to spend a few minutes getting to know the site yourself before making a decision.
Not before reading our review of course.
So here’s the top 7 questions to ask before signing up to JenningsBet. Find all the answers you need right here!
So what’s on offer?
As mentioned, JenningsBet is both a sportsbook and casino site. With regards to sports, the following options are available:
- Horse Racing
- American Football
- Aussie Rules
- Ice Hockey
- Motor Racing
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Table Tennis
- Winter sports
At the time of writing, specials include BBC Sports Personality Of The Year, UK Politics, BAFTA Television Awards, Annual Academy Awards and the French election.
All in all, this is a decent line up. It’s important to point out that not only does JenningsBet have a great selection of sports, but there’s plenty of games/events to choose from within those fields.
As far as the casino goes, there’s a decent enough selection here, especially regarding slots. The video poker and table games won’t be winning any prizes for sheer numbers but there’s enough variety here to keep you happy.
All the games here are high quality and fair.
On the other hand
Also, it’s important to note that there’s no live casino here and no live streaming of any sports. To be fair, the latter is only available for a privileged few sportsbooks but its’ still worth pointing out.
The lack of live casino however is a big hit, as more and more joint sportsbook and casino ventures do offer their customers live casino options. Even some smaller sites like Betclic manage to have a seriously impressive array of live games.
Still, if you’re not fussed about playing live and your main interests are sports and slots, then you should find plenty to your liking here.
What promotions are available at JenningsBet?
There are three promotions currently available on Jenningsbet:
If you run an accumulator of five or more football selections, you will receive a refund of up to £50. The minimum stake is a rather reasonable £5.
Reel Time Riches:
This is the only welcome bonus on the site. Here you can potentially get £300 worth of bonus funds spread over three deposits. The wagering requirements for these bonuses are 30 x, 28 x and 26 x, which are fairly decent rates.
Best Odds Guaranteed:
This is a bonus that does what it says on the tin. You’ll receive the best possible odds, regardless of when you bet.
All these promotions offer some value and most importantly, are reasonably likely to actually get used. It’s all well and good having promotions worth several thousands but often these carry terms and conditions so harsh that you’ll never see a penny of it.
On the other hand
None of the bonuses here are original. Most sites have Acca Protection and Best Odds Guaranteed. Reel Time Riches is simply a version of the type of welcome bonuses found on the majority of sites.
There are also a few terms and conditions which sour the deals a little. Your Best Odds Guaranteed bonus has a maximum of £1,000. It does not count on Ante-Post odds, Tote Bets or International Racing.
However, by far the worst offender is the Reel Time Riches, which annoyingly splits the bonus across three stages. Not only that, but for the second deposit, the bonus percentage drops from 100% to 50%, then again to 25% at the third deposit.
In addition, many sites have these bonuses or some similar variation alongside a ton of other offers of equal value.
Still JenningsBet has chosen to use offers that are practical and helpful to players. That can only be seen as a plus.
How do I sign up?
Just hit the red ‘Join Now’ button to the top right of your screen. It doesn’t matter where on the site you are, as this will stay static on all pages.
The sign up sheet is split into three sections.
First up, you’ll need to enter your log in details. These include your:
- Security Question
Make sure you pick a security question that you absolutely won’t forget. This is used to get back into your account if you forget your password, so you’ll need this to avoid going through a difficult and lengthy process in order to retrieve funds.
As always, keep your password safe. You can do this by using a mix of uppercase letters and lowercase letters. You can also use special characters and numbers. Choose a password which is of a decent length too. It’s also better if you can use a password that’s exclusive to this site. This is so if one of your accounts is hacked, it does not also leave this account vulnerable.
Step two is your personal details. These include:
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Date Of Birth
- Preferred Currency
- Mobile Number
- Postal Code
All this is straightforward. The only thing we’d mention is that JenningsBet accounts are limited to one per person, so ensure no information is from a previous account or you may face issues.
The final part is your declaration. Here you will need to confirm you are over 18 years old and that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions. Next, you’ll be asked if you’d like to receive information on offers and if so, what method you’d like to be contacted by.
Hit ‘Submit’ and you’re good to go.
On the other hand
The only criticism here is that it would be helpful to have the option to set betting limits on your account, as this encourages responsible gambling.
How’s their customer service?
JenningsBet has pretty much all the major contact options you could want from a betting site. This includes e-mail, mail and of course, that all important live chat function. They even have links for complaints and a helpful FAQ section.
Their customer service has an excellent reputation among customers and critics from our research. Our dealings with them more than backed up this praise.
On the other hand
There’s not much to criticise here. The only thing missing would be a phone number but other than than, it’s a thumbs up from us.
What are the banking options?
The options to deposit funds include Neteller, Skrill, Mastercard/Visa. All these methods are instant. The minimum and maximum amount for all these options are £5 to £5000.
As for withdrawal options, these include the same methods as your deposit.
On the other hand
While this may be a decent amount of options for the majority of players, three is simply not a great deal of choice. Most of their competitors outnumber them in this regard and more is better when it comes to banking options.
Is the site well designed?
In technical terms, yes it is. It’s well laid out, responsive and very easy to use and navigate. Everything is clear and the site explains everything very well. There’s plenty on offer without it ever feeling overcrowded.
On the other hand
It’s bright neon green.
We’re sure there’s people out there that will love this colour scheme. It’s why we always advise for you to check it out yourself.
However, it must be mentioned that this is not the most popular choice of design available. The big chunky main toolbar with only three options looks a little off too.
It’s looks won’t please everyone but from a practical standpoint, there’s little to complain about.
What’s the overall impression?
JenningsBet is a bit of a diamond in the rough. It’s not the prettiest of sites to most eyes and it’s missing out on the variety of casino options and promotions many of its rivals possess. However, everything it does here, it does well.
The games on offer are all very high quality, the customer service is topnotch, it’s easy to use and it has a great reputation.
There’s no wasted space on JenningsBet. Everything works as it should and it offers a decent service with few added extras. We can’t help but think, with a little extra polish though, JenningsBet could reach its full potential.
