Digibet is a sportsbook exclusive site and one of the many gaming brands we’ll be helping you get to grips with here at Betting Sites Comparison. In this review, we’ll be taking a look at all the important things to consider so you can make an informed decision as to whether you want to gamble your hard earned cash here instead of their competitors.
And what a selection of rivals Digibet, and indeed any modern betting site has.
You’ll also find the likes of Rizk Casino and Blitzfantasy reviews too, which look to offer something new on the gaming scene. Much like Digibet, there’s other sports exclusive sites like Racebets and Centrebet, or casino exclusive sites such as Rich Casino or Manhattan Slots.
This is both good news and bad news for the potential customer. The bad news is it can be a headache to discover what’s the right site for you. With so many different gaming sites vying for your attention, picking the one that’s right for you can be a bit of a hassle.
The good news is we’re here to help. So you can afford to be a little extra picky in finding your dream betting site.
To do this, we’ll be looking at all the important aspects you’ll want to consider. In order to keep our reviews objective and fair, we’ll also look at other possible views on certain site aspects and try to account for all tastes.
However, we can’t tell you what you like or what you don’t like. So, it’s important that, alongside reading our in depth coverage, you also take some time to check out the site for yourself.
Here’s some questions to ask and those all important answers to know before you sign up to the Digibet sportsbook.
So what’s on offer at Digibet?
As we’ve mentioned, this is a sports exclusive gaming site. This means that there’s no casino options at all here.
On the plus side, this often means a site has greater focus and can offer a better, if not more limited product. Digibet offers a good selection of bets, including live betting options.
The following sports are available to bet on at Digibet:
- Ice Hockey
- Winter Sports
- Aussie Rules
- Table Tennis
On the other hand
We’re not just talking about the big boys here either. Plenty of smaller sites are now starting to delve into areas of more obscure sports, e-sports and even non sport betting events, such as elections, TV specials and reality TV results.
This would be less of a problem if the site wasn’t limited to just sports betting. This exclusivity in Digibet’s theme does mean that customers are expecting a little bit more than the site is able to deliver in regards to betting options.
It’s an issue that won’t affect most customers, but they are no doubt they’re behind the pack on this one.
What promotions are available?
There’s one major promotion at Digibet that is advertised in a major way on the home page. It is a time sensitive offer, which we thought was worth paying attention to as it will likely give an example of the possible value of future offers available to Digibet players.
This is the ‘Prize Championship’ promotion.
The rules here are very simple. It is essentially an online raffle. If you place a bet on the site during the participation period (which runs between the 30th November 2016 and the 31st May 2017), then you will automatically be placed into the lottery. Winners will then be selected at random.
The prizes to be won here are quite generous. They are as follows:
- Fourth prize is €5,000
- Third Prize is €10,000
- Second prize is €25,000
- First prize is a generous €50,000
For a simple lottery promotion on a site with this level of recognition, these are decent enough prizes.
The only other bonus we could find on the site at the time of writing was a percentage bonus depending on the size of your combination bet. This ranges from 5% at 3-9 bets to 25% at 25 plus bets. This has minimum odds of 1.10 or higher.
On the other hand
While the lottery bonus is good value and fun, and the other betting bonus is decent enough, Digibet cannot compete with much of its competition in terms of promotions. The larger sportsbetting sites, such as Betfair or even sites like BetEast have more to offer their customers.
It is also quite hard to find the latter offer. It is only advertised via a small link at the bottom of the screen entitled ‘bonus’. This is the only indication on the BetBright site that this offer exists at all.
We did find mention during our research of a 100% sign up bonus up to €20 but unfortunately we could not find it on the site. If it is there, then Digibet needs to do a much better job of making it accessible to customers, especially seeing as these offers are what sweetens the deal and tempts new players in.
Overall, its promotions offering is disappointing.
How’s their customer service?
Digibet has a few options available for customer service. These include a phone number, e-mail address, live chat function and a help & support request form.
This is more than enough for the vast majority of customers. The service we received was prompt, help and informative.
It’s also important to note here that we were told that a casino function was on its way, or at least that appeared to be implied. It also appeared that the lack of promotions was at least meant to be temporary, with improvements expected in the future.
On the other hand
The help and support request form is made useless by the other options. It sits between an e-mail and live chat function, making it pretty redundant and not much use for anything.
Also on our attempts, we were unable to use this function as the bottom part of the contact form was cut off. This meant we could not fill in the security test.
This may not be a big problem seeing as though it has little use anyway, but it’s a design niggle that makes the site appear unprofessional.
Of course, other sites have some rather unusual contact methods so customers who wish to get in touch via more obscure and outdated methods, such as fax, can still get the help they need. However, this is a very small issue that won’t affect many players at all.
Overall, their customer service gets a thumbs up (if a rather unenthusiastic one) from us.
What banking options are available at Digibet?
The following banking options are available for depositing funds into your Digibet player account:
- Bank Transfer
- Credit Card
- Sofort DirectPay24
All these methods have no fees and are immediately transferred, with the except ion of bank transfer, which can take between 1-3 working days to arrive in your nominated account. The minimum amount that can be deposited for all methods is €10 and the maximum amount is €1,000.
On the other hand
We do appreciate the simplicity of the layout here. The lack of transaction fees and low enough deposit minimums also get a tick from us. Although the maximum deposit amount may be a little bit too low for high rollers wishing to play with eye-watering amounts.
For most people though, the choice of deposit methods at Digibet should be entirely reasonable and will likely receive no complaints.
The information on the payments screen however does not lay out specifically that these methods are available for both deposits and withdrawals, although that is what is implied by the link. We cannot be 100% sure that all this information is the same for withdrawal methods.
Other sites will have more payment options. However, with the most popular methods available here, this should satisfy most.
This is especially true if this streamlined number of methods is to make both deposit and withdrawal options identical and therefore simpler.
In conclusion, there are some minor issues here, but nothing too glaring
What is their reputation like?
From a trust standpoint, there’s no issues that we could find regarding Digibet, nor could we find anything suggesting that they were anything other than a legitimate business. During our research, we could find no credible accusations of anything untoward in their business practices.
On the other hand
Their response from both customers and critics alike generally ranges from bad to mediocre. Many have stated similar issues to what we have found within this review and have been disappointed with the service.
This is not true across the board but through our research, it appears to represent much of the feeling regarding Digibet.
How’s the site design?
The design of Digibet is generally aesthetically pleasing. Its layout is good and its futuristic white, black and red colour scheme works very well.
In particular, the fluid, ever changing live match screen is a stroke of genius. It looks great and really makes the site feel alive. The homepage is big and brash and does a great job of advertising its raffle.
On the other hand
There’s not too much to complain about here. As mentioned during the customer service section, there’s the odd technical and structural issue, which should be cleaned up to improve the site. This is well exemplified on the homepage.
The top toolbar has a large empty space that is only filled by a single ‘betting’ link. It looks as though some other links have simply been lifted out of it and does give the site an unfinished and slightly unprofessional feel. This seems to sum up the state of change Digibet is currently going though, so it is worth watching this space.
Is it easy to sign up to Digibet?
It sure is! To start the sign up process, simply hit the ‘Register’ button. From here, you’ll be directed to a simple sign up sheet.
Here you’ll be asked for your:
- Post Code
- Phone Number
- Date Of Birth
- Security Question
Finally, you’ll be asked if you wish to be send further information by email. You’ll also be required to confirm you are of legal age to open an account. Once you have filled in all the necessary details, you can hit send and you’re good to go.
On the other hand
Banking information will have to be filled in later. While this is not the biggest problem in the world, it can cause a delay for customers wishing to start playing for real money straight away.
The options to set voluntary spending limits would also be a good addition. This allows players to limit how much they can spend on the site daily, weekly or monthly and encourages responsible gaming. We feel every sportsbook and casino site could benefit from providing this option to their players.
What’s the overall impression of Digibet?
We feel that at this point in time, all the issues we’ve found with Digibet should be given the benefit of the doubt for now. We get the impression that this is a work in progress and that all the major problems, including a lack of promotions and a lack of a casino (on a site without exceptional sporting options) are something they are looking to clear up.
Digibet has some neat little features here and there and could, with some improvement, prove to be a real contender in an already exciting and widely varied online gaming market.
