Discover Everything There Is To Know About Cashino

In this review, we’ll be taking a look at Cashino. This, as it’s name suggests, is a casino focused site. This means there won’t be any sports betting available, so it’s not going to be competing with the likes of Betfirst, Betclic, Ladbrokes or any of the many other sites offering both a casino and sportsbook product.

While this might be seen as a disadvantage, that’s not necessarily the case. For starters, many customers simply aren’t interested in sports betting and want a more focused online casino experience. It’s certainly true that many sites nowadays that try to offer too much end up leaving one or either part of the site lacking. While this isn’t the case for the major players out there, like Virgin Casino and Sportsbook, there’s certainly lots of disappointing sites out there.

Cashino establishment

Another thing that Cashino has going for it is that it actually mainly operates as a physical casino throughout the United Kingdom (which is why you may not have heard of it if you live elsewhere). It’s got a whopping 148 high street venues to its name, which is over double the amount of Grosvenor Casinos establishments. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s brick and mortar offering will translate into a good online presence.

Having high street presence does however give the site a brand, as well as a sense of trustworthiness and legitimacy.

So does Cashino live up to the hype?

Well, we’ll be looking at all the important site elements to help you make a decision on whether Cashino is for you or not. This will include everything from banking options, reputation and reliability to the quality and variety of the games available, as well as customer service, ease of signing up, web design and much more.

In fact, the latter brings us to our next point. There are certain things in a site which are subjective, from the obvious points, such as whether you like a site’s appearance to how much you value some aspects of the site compared to others.

With this in mind, we’d like to advise you to check out the Cashino site for yourself, alongside some of their competition before you make any decisions. There’s plenty of choice out there, so you’ve got plenty of room to be picky when it comes to choosing an online gaming home.

Here’s some of the essential questions you’ll want to ask yourself before deciding whether or not to sign up to Cashino.

  1. So they’re on the high street? That must mean their reputation is pretty good, right?

Cashino reel gaming

Having a physical presence does mean that customers can reasonably consider that the Cashino brand is completely legitimate. No company that has hundreds of locations throughout a western country like Britain can afford to be duping or ripping off customers. That’s true.

However, merely confirming that it’s not a scam site shouldn’t be enough to convince you that a site’s reputation is “good”. It merely proves that the site isn’t likely to leave you unfairly out of pocket. This is further confirmed by their license and regulation by the UK Gambling Commission.

Gambling Commission

As for their critical and public response, from what we’ve seen, the overall reception of their product is good. Although, it may not quite be up there with the major players of the casino exclusive scene, such as Foxy Casino and Royal Panda Casino. So, all in all, their reputation as far as we can tell, is good but not quite great.

On the other hand

Notice we said “from what we have seen”. The main issue with coming up with a fair assessment of the critical response to Cashino is that we cannot find enough responses from critics and customers to get a reasonable representation of what their general consumer base thinks.

Ironically, this seems to a be a consequence of them being a high street casino (which is one of the reasons their reputation has a strong foundation in the first place). This is because most search results bring you to people discussing the physical establishment and not the online casino offering.

Overall then, we’d say that we can’t be 100% sure this is a good sample of what people think, but as far as we can tell, things are looking good for Cashino.

  1. So what does Cashino have to offer?

Cashino games

In terms of games, Cashino has hundreds of titles across a whole range of different genres to choose from. These include everything you’d expect, such as table games, online slots, bingo, etc.

All the games on the site appear to be of a high standard and include some major providers as well.

On the other hand

There’s no Live Casino, no video poker games and no sportsbook. The latter is forgivable though. Quite honestly, there’s plenty of great betting sites out there without a sportsbook.

However, the lack of video poker games and live casino really sets Cashino behind so much of their competition. The lack of a live casino is particularly ironic considering they actually are a real life live casino.

When you’re offering your customers a completely casino dedicated site, you have to offer the complete package in order to remain competitive in the cut throat world of online gaming.

  1. Do they have good customer service?

Cashino customer support

Cashino offers their customers support via a number of options. These include that all important live chat function, as well as email, telephone (which is a Freephone number) and via their social media accounts.

This is pretty much all that can be expected outside of a physical address. Plus the addition of the Freephone and the social media really do open up more communication lines. Particularly the latter, which pushes Cashino as a modern, forward thinking site.

In our experience of using Cashino’s customer support, the staff seemed very helpful and responsive during our interactions with them.

On the other hand

All of these customer service options are only available between 9.00 and 18.00. That’s pretty bad. Ok, it’s really bad. Perhaps 24/7 service is a little heavy in terms of expectations but other sites do offer it. This means that if you want to keep up, you’re going to have to follow suit.

Cashino live chat

Our criticism with Cashino’s customer support is not even that it’s not available 24 hours. It’s that it closes very early: pretty much less than the hours kept by most stores. When you consider that most people will be using the site after working hours have finished, that means Cashino is going to leave a lot of those people disappointed.

We’re not finished either. The hours are only available between Monday to Friday. So if you get stuck on the Saturday or Sunday, you’ll have to wait until Monday morning to get any help.

As we said, during our dealing with them, the Cashino staff were always helpful, which was a positive. However, due to a lack of information from customer or critics, we have the same issue when evaluating their reputation. There’s not enough of a response for us to give a fair indication of their customer satisfaction.

  1. What promotions do they have?

There’s two promotions that are currently available at Cashino at the time of writing. These include:

  • 100% Deposit Bonus:
    Cashino welcome bonnus
Make a deposit of between £10 and £250 and you’ll receive a 100% deposit bonus.
  • Deposit £5 and get 500 Free Card Points:
    Cashino points scheme
Spend money, receive points, turn points into cash or shopping vouchers. It’s essentially a customer loyalty card. These vouchers include Cashino itself, as well as Love2Shop and Marks and Spencer. Having a promotion which interacts with the real locations is a huge plus to the overall product of Cashino.

On the other hand

A measly two promotions? That’s terribly disappointing. And only being a casino site isn’t an excuse here either. There are plenty of sites that offer more in terms of promotions for casinos, even when they’re not specialising in them. We’re not just talking about the major players here either.

As for the promotions themselves, we have to say that they’re not bad. The welcome bonus has a 40x wagering requirement, which is about average. However, most sites do tend to spruce things up with added incentives, such as free spins on popular slot games. For some reason, these are absent here.

In terms of the Free Cards Point offer, 100 points gets you £1. So for that initial bonus, you’re essentially getting a free £1 of spending, which is terrific. However, after that you’ll receive only a single point per £10. This means that to get another £5, you’d have to spend £50,000.

We suppose it is money for nothing but we don’t think many will find much use for it beyond that initial deposit. This is a shame because utilising a promotion that interacts with the real life casino establishment should really be something Cashino takes full advantage of.

  1. Is the site well designed?

Cashino site design

Generally speaking, Cashino is easy to use and understand. It has its main toolbar at the top to the right of its logo and its games are designed in a Windows 10-style tiled fashion. It’s simple and it works.

On the other hand

While it’s not an especially ugly site, it’s not great looking either. It’s all very, very plain and we have a hard time imagining that it would be able to compete with personality heavy sites like Manhattan Slots or even more sophisticated affairs like Rich Casino.

Also, the logo isn’t particularly stylish, and that’s being rather generous. Still, functionally, it all works fine. That’s if you discount that irritating promotional banners that runs through the centre of your homepage, following you as you scroll through its selection of games.

  1. How do I sign up?

Cashino registration

If you like what you’ve heard here, taken a gander for yourself and have decided you want to sign up to Cashino, you can do so by hitting the ‘Register’ button. This can be found at the top right hand of your screen. Here you’ll be asked for all the usual details you would expect, such as your Username, Password, Address, E-mail and so forth.

On the other hand

On the registration form, all these sections are broken down into really small segments. This appears to needlessly take up more time. It is a very, very minor complaint but we thought it was worth mentioning.

  1. So what do we think of Cashino overall?

Cashino logo

The simple facts are that if what you want is to simply enjoy some casino games other than video poker on a site you know is safe and is easy and reasonably fun to use, then Cashino offers you that. However, if you want a live casino, or you really enjoy weekly promotions, then you’re pretty much stuck.

The issue isn’t that Cashino wouldn’t be enjoyed by plenty of customers. We’re sure many players find bucketloads of fun right here. It’s that there’s pretty much nothing here that is not done better elsewhere. Not only that but there’s a couple of added flaws too boot. These include the limited customer service that put them on the back foot.

It really feels like, for the Cashino brand, the site is really just an add on to their main business on the high street. These stumbles at major hurdles, such as the promotions and customer support, makes the whole online offering seem like a bit of an afterthought.

While there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s a big shame because having physical locations allows you to potentially connect with the customer through promotions and combining services in a way that so few others can. They have so many exciting potential opportunities here that even the biggest names in the industry do not. Unfortuantely, it’s such a waste to see them not taking advantage of it beyond a customer points scheme with limited realistic use.

Overall, we see so much potential for the online Cashino site. We really hope that one day soon they can fulfil our expectations.
