7 Super Smart Questions To Ask Before Playing At BoyleSports

Today we’ll be looking at Boylesports. We’ll be asking the most important questions you want answered before deciding whether to sign up.

If you’re looking for a new betting site or you’re new to the online gaming scene and are wondering what are the best options for you, there’s plenty to take into account.

First, you’ll need to decide what type of betting site you’re looking for. Most of them fall into two categories. There’s sportsbook and casino sites, which combine both of the world wide web’s favorite betting past times in one convenient location. These include Betive, SuperLenny and 12Bet, to give a few examples.

Then there’s sites that only focus on casinos. These include Pocket Fruity Casino, Cashpoint and Manhattan Slots.

You might be wondering why anyone would choose a casino over a sportsbook when they could have both in one place. Well, for those only looking for a casino or those who already have a sportsbok they are happy with, having a casino exclusive site does have its advantages. For starters, it gives the sites a lot more leeway design-wise.

This is for a couple of reason: one being that you tend to have less information (matches, betting slips, etc.) on casinos. Getting rid of these elements provides some extra creative space. So if you’re someone who likes big colourful sites, Mansion Casino, Rich Casino, Royal Panda and many, many more can provide you what you need.

Generally speaking, the casino product itself it better. When all the resources are focused on one product, it generally means the customer gets a better all round product than when a site is stretched across several customer bases.

You can also generally find the best bingo opportunities here too, with BGO and Foxy Casino standing out from the crowd.

There are sportsbook exclusive sites as well, although they don’t appear to have taken off in the same way casino sites have.

However, if that is what you’re looking for, then Centrebet, one of Australia’s biggest sites, is a good example of what to expect.

Alternatively, you might be looking for something completely different, such as the peer to peer Sportdec or the fantasy booking extravaganza BlitzFantasy.

Boylesports is both a sportsbook and casino site, without much in the way of gimmicks. That means it’s going head to head with so many other brands for your affections. It’s up against some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ladbrokes and William Hill.

Here we’ll be asking the most important questions you’ll need answering to decide whether Boylesports is worth your time above the competition. We’ll be looking at everything from banking options to more subjective things like site design.

With that in mind, we always advise you to check out the site before signing up. That’s because we can’t tell you what you’ll like in a site’s aesthetic among other things. It’s also a good idea to check out some of their competition as well as our other reviews to get a full picture.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at Boylesports.

  1. Is the site well designed?

BoyleSports home page

First impressions can mean a lot in the cut throat industry of online betting. With so many different sites vying for your attention, it can only take a badly designed logo to put you off.

So how does Boylesports fare?

First of all, this site is very, very British. Not only does it have a British colour scheme (red, white and blue) but it also has a distinctive look that is miles away from much of its international competition.

Whether or not you like this about Boylesports really is a matter of preference. For some, it will bring a sense of warmth to proceedings. There certainly is a friendly atmosphere to the way it’s laid out, from the tin pot of money next to the cash out button to the main advertisement of the free bet offer.

In terms of its layout, Boylesports is what you’d expect. It’s laid out pretty much like the vast majority of its competition in terms of its sportsbook, albeit with a bit more colour. This is not necessarily a bad thing by any means. Sites don’t mess with this layout because it works. You don’t need Rizk Casino levels of modernisation to have a good site after all.

BoyleSports casino

Best of all, the casino looks different enough from the rest of the site. It still feels at home with the Boylesports brand while not feeling like an extra addition tacked on. That’s a balance many sites fail to achieve.

Finally, on a technical level, the site handles wonderfully. There’s, no complaints in regards to navigation in this review.

On the other hand

Its ultra British looks may charm some but will certainly put others off. It’s something that’s all down to preference.

While the difference between the sportsbook and the casino is well executed, unfortunately, the casino and the other pages are very similar. It might be a lot to ask but this site would be on another level design wise with several distinct looks for all the sections that Boylesports has to offer.

  1. So what exactly is on the site?

BoyleSports sportsbetting

As we’ve mentioned, we’ve got the sportsbook and casino sections here. Aside from that, we also have dedicated sections for in-play sports, virtuals, Vegas, games, lotto, bingo and poker.

Really a few of those (Games for examples) are just casino add-ons that are well presented. However, dedicated Bingo and Poker sections represent some real added value to the product and widen the net which Boylesports can reach.

In terms of specifics, the sports that are available on Boylesports at the time of writing are as follows:

  • American Football
  • Athletics
  • Badminton
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Bowls
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Cycling
  • Daily Specials
  • Darts
  • Football
  • Futsal
  • Golf
  • GAA – Football
  • GAA – Hurling
  • Greyhounds
  • Handball
  • Horse Racing
  • Ice Hockey
  • Motorsport
  • Entertainment/TV
  • Politics
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker
  • Speedway
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • UFC/MMA
  • Volleyball
  • Winter Sports

That’s a pretty good line up, all things considered.

BoyleSports live betting

Their virtual sports also have a decent selection, including greyhound, motor racing, speedway and much more.

On the other hand

The selections on the other parts of the site don’t quite match up to that of their sportsbook. None of it is bad but it is clear there’s a reason the site is called Boylesports, rather than Boyle Sportsbook and Casino. We were also unable to find out information on the providers of their games.

Finally, e-sports being missing from their line up is odd considering how much else is available here. E-sports is something that other sites likes Vbet and Unibet take full advantage of.

  1. Do they have good customer feedback?

BoyleSports ad

Customer satisfaction is one of the absolute hardest things to gauge. Due to many customers only speaking about sites when things go wrong and with the level of competition, it can be tricky to get a clear picture.

This is the case with Boylesports. We can only say that the response to the site is erratic. It has received very high praise in some places and not quite so much praise in others.

On the other hand

When we say not such high praise, we actually mean that some of the responses from customers have been incredibly scathing on feedback about the site. Many appear to feel let down by the site and believe that being paid out has been made needlessly difficult.

We cannot verify any of these claims. We can only report them. There is no way we can test the legitimacy of any of these reviews. All we can say is that the dissatisfaction felt by a very vocal minority of the site’s users is a concern.

The critical response probably offers what is most likely to be the truth. That seems to be that the site generally doesn’t rank among the giddy five-star responses in some customer reviews nor the one star teardowns. Critics in fact seem to place Boylesports somewhere between those two points.

Keep in mind that aggressively negative customer feedback is often emotionally driven and rarely accurately reflects the site as a whole. It’s also worth pointing out that the negative reviews appear to be confined largely to only a couple of feedback sites.

  1. Do they have good customer service?

BoyleSports customer support

First, let’s look at what customer service options are available at Boylesports.

You’ve got your phone number, email, Twitter and live chat. That last options is one of the most important, so it’s a relief to see it included here.

Overall, this is pretty much as you’d expect from a big site like Boylesports, which alongside Paddy Power is the largest in Ireland.

On the other hand

Customer service is something that is often singled out by critics of the site as a point of contention. At the same time, it’s also something that is most highly praised by other customers.

This as a site element is perhaps the best example of the bi-polar nature of their customer responses. We can say that there appears to be more good than bad responses and that our interactions with them were pleasant and helpful.

  1. What promotions are available?

BoyleSports big ticket promotion

A good selection of bonuses can really push a site to new heights. Similarly, a lack of promotions can let it down, as seen with the otherwise good Betsson.

Luckily, Boylesports does have a selection of promotions to choose from. Here’s a quick look at what was available at the time of writing:

The Big Ticket Summer Festival:
Customers who opt into this promotion and wager real cash during its promotional period will be placed into a draw with weekly and monthly prizes, including a trip to Milan.

The Big Ticket Double Ticket Tuesdays:
This is the same as the previous offer, except on Tuesday you get double the tickets thus double the chances to win.

Wager Challenge:
Wager £500 or equivalent and receive £10 extra.

Random Cash Drops:
Every Tuesday, random players get rewards from the site. There’s no terms and conditions and no wagering requirements. It’s as simple as that.

Welcome Offer:
This offer is split into three sections. The first being a 100% bonus up to £100. The second is the same again but with a 50% bonus. The last is a 100% bonus, all totalling £300. Best of all is the 20x wagering bonus, which is very good compared to much of the competition.

BoyleSports welcome bonus

Overall, Boylesports seems to take a rather simplistic approach to promotions. They’re easy to understand and generally offer good value.

On the other hand

Some offers, such as ACCA based promotions, have become so commonplace that not seeing them here is a bit of a disappointment. A couple more standard examples like that would really pad this list out. Still, it’s a good showing: not great, but decent.

  1. What banking options are available?

The following banking options are available at Boylesports:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Maestro
  • Laser
  • Neteller
  • Moneybookers
  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer
  • Cheque
  • In Shop

These payment options are available for both deposits and withdrawals.

BoyleSports payment methods

Having the option of paying in shop is something that only bookmakers with physical locations have the advantage of. Other examples of betting sites with physical locations include Coral and Cashino.

The time scale of these payments are instant, except for Bank Transfer and Cheque. Finally, the minimum amount you can deposit is £5 with no maximum specified.

On the other hand

We actually could not find this information on the site despite looking. If it is there, it’s not in plain sight. So this information is based on our research, which is all correct to the best of our knowledge.

This lack of payment method information onsite is a real disappointment and appears to be an oversight by Boylesports.

  1. So what do we think about Boylesports?

BoyleSports logo

Despite some fierce criticisms from a small section of their consumer base, we didn’t find anything to inspire us to feel particularly negative about the site.

On the other hand, it didn’t really light a fire under us to shout from the mountains how great a site this is either. Ultimately it felt good, maybe a little better than good, but it never felt great. This is a rock solid site we’re sure plenty will enjoy, but it lacks that something extra to put it to the front of the pack.
