Answers to 8 Important Questions About BETDAQ Sportsbook and Casino

So many betting sites, too little time?

If like so many other sports betting and casino site customers out there, you’re looking for a new site to enjoy, you may find that there’s so much out there that it’s hard to know where to begin.

There’s the obvious choices. On the casino side, you’ve got the likes of Royal Panda, Rich Casino and Foxy Casino. On the sportsbook side, there’s major players such as Ladbrokes, William Hill. But there’s also smaller gems out there, like the terrific Manhattan Slots and the innovative Rizk Casino. In fact, this choice goes all the way down to some really niche entries, which focus on particular areas of the gaming world with varying levels of effectiveness and expertise.

And of course, there’s a whole host of bad sites. These range from being clumsy, having poor customer service or offering little to customers, all the way down to sites that are not to be trusted with your money.

You’ll also want to ask yourself what it is you want out of a betting site. For example, you might care more about sporting variety over promotions. You might prefer one style over another. You might want something that’s bursting with personality or one that lets you get on with gaming without overloading you with graphics. This is why it’s so important that, before you sign up to any site, you check it out for yourself and spend some time there. It really is the only way to find out if that betting and/or casino site will really fulfil your needs.

Here at Betting Sites, we go through every nook and cranny to give you the best idea of where’s the right place to bet with your hard earned cash.

In this review, we’ll be taking a look at BETDAQ: a Dublin based sports betting and casino site

  1. What do BETDAQ offer?

With so many sites offering so much, it can be hard for anyone, even very well known sites, to really find something new to give their customers.

As mentioned, BETDAQ offers both casino and sportsbook features. However, this is so commonplace now that it’s not anything really special. What matters is how well and how much is offered by both these services.

BETDAQ sports pool

In terms of sports available, this is a list of what you’ll find at BETDAQ:

  • Horse Racing
  • Soccer
  • Greyhound Racing
  • Golf
  • Cricket
  • Tennis
  • Rugby Union
  • Ice Hockey
  • Snooker
  • American Football
  • Darts
  • Rugby League
  • Basketball
  • Formula 1
  • Baseball
  • Boxing
  • Australian Rules
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • GAA
  • Politics
  • Virtual Sports

All in all, this is a pretty good line up with all the favourites there to keep the vast majority of sporting fans happy. The inclusion of politics, virtual sports and GAA (Gaelic Football and Hurling) are nice additions that are a little more out there. They also show off the Irish heritage of the site.

BETDAQ casino

Moving on, the casino side of things are a little bit tentative because the focus is so obviously on sports from the moment you enter the site. Even the slogan for the site is “serious about sport”, so there’s a possibility this could be an afterthought.

The games selection comes to 59 overall. There’s also a selection of virtual games. These include:

  • Horses
  • Greyhounds
  • Speedway
  • Motors
  • Football
  • Cycling

Also included as part of the site is a mobile app, so you can bet and keep track of your bets on the move, as well as multiples.

Their major ‘draw; however is their place in the market as the second largest exchange in the world, right behind Betfair. This of course means there’s a good selection of live odds.

On the other hand

BETDAQ casino games

The obvious weak link of this chain is the casino, which sadly does appear to be a very distant second fiddle to the sportsbook part of the site. With so many great casino sites out there BETDAQ’s product really can’t compete for anyone looking for anything more than the very briefest of flutters with a few casino games.

As far as the sportsbook goes, it’s a decent selection. There’s almost always a site out there with some more obscure picks but plenty will be more than satisfied here.

Overall, it’s a good sportsbook product with a weak casino offering.

  1. Is it trustworthy?

This could possibly be considered the first thing to consider when thinking about signing up to any site where real money is exchanged. Nonetheless, second to what the site is actually offering you is whether you can trust the site in terms of its fairness and payouts.

Gambling Commission

The site is licensed by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and this ensures that they are a reputable company. It also gives you peace of mind that the site offers fair bets and payouts without an issue. We encountered nothing during our research to suggest otherwise. As far as we can tell, you shouldn’t have any issues in this regard.

On the other hand

There’s not much else to say on this matter. If we are to really nitpick, they could have picked a more trustworthy sounding name than BETDAQ, which comes across as the kind of name for a second rate sportsbook if ever we’ve heard it. Happily, that appears to not be the case though.

  1. Does BETDAQ have any good offers?

The importance of a good promotion really does depend on the individual. Some appear not to care very much, whereas others see it as a defining site feature. Whatever your take, there’s no doubt that a good offer can give a site that extra boost it needs.

There are currently five offers available on BETDAQ. These include:

  • ITV Saturday Racing:
    BETDAQ ITV Racing promo
Receive a 20% bonus on all winnings features on live Saturday ITV racing. This will be received as a free bet

  • Get £25 in Free Bets:
    BETDAQ Free £25 Bet
Simply register, enter the promo code and earn 4 commission points to receive your free bets.
  • 50% Comm Back:
    BETDAQ 50% Comm Back
Receive a 50% cash refund on paid commissions within the first 90 days of opening your account.
  • Bet £10, Get £30:
BETDAQ Bet £10, Get £30 offer
Stake £10 and receive a £30 bonus to play with.
  • Virtuals Bet £10, Get £10 Free:
    BETDAQ Virtuals promotion
Stake £10 on your first virtual sports bet and if it loses, you will be refunded that same amount as a free bet.

So on the face of it, they appear like pretty good offers. However, we’ll need to take a look at the terms and conditions to really get an idea of the value of these promotions.

On the other hand

The most relevant terms and conditions for each offer (other terms can be found on the promotions page on their site) are as follows:

  • ITV Saturday Racing:
If races are abandoned then the promotions only applies to those that run. Free bets expire after seven days. The bets must be at odds of 1.5 or higher.
  • £25 in Free Bets:
Commission points are earned one per £25 won. Free bets must be at odds of 1.5 or greater and will be credited into the customer’s account within 72 hours.
  • 50% Comm Back:
The maximum commission to qualify is £10. The minimum commission refund is £1000.
  • Bet £10, Get £30:
This offer is not available to customer who played before the date of 15/03/2016 and is only available to those who place their first bets between that date and 28/02/2017. The wagering requirement for this promotion is 30 times the bonus amount. Bonus funds must be used within 14 days.
  • Virtuals Bet £10, Get £10 Free:
The free bet must be used with 7 days and will be credited into the player’s account within 72 hours. The minimum odds of this promotions is 1.5 or higher.

The terms and conditions here aren’t too bad. They create a simple set of promotions that overall do create a more inviting product for BETDAQ.

There’s no doubting that many sites do have more than six promotions and the focus on sports over the casino is once again prevalent. Also, a 30 x wagering requirements is quite high for a mere £30 in bonus money.

Nonetheless, we’d say that their promotions are a moderate success.

  1. What customer service options do they have?

BETDAQ Contact Us

In case you have some issues with your account or even just some general queries, customer services are a vital part of the player experience for any good betting site.

On BETDAQ, you’ll find a Q&A section, which is reasonably informative here. There’s also an option to submit a question directly to the site. A phone number and a live chat function are also featured.

We could find little response to the customer service specifically online, so in terms of customer satisfaction ,we don’t have enough information to go on. Although the reviews of the site in general are good.

On the other hand

Although a live chat function is present on the Contact Us screen, it was not available when we were researching the site. This was conducted in the middle of the day and we’re unsure whether this means that the function is off permanently, undergoing maintenance or only operates very sporadically. There’s no further information available.

The live chat function is a vital part of any modern betting site and we hope they get it back up to speed as soon as possible.

  1. Does BETDAQ have a decent selection of banking options?

BETDAQ payment methods

In short, yes it does.

The following options are available as banking options on BETDAQ:

  • Maestro
  • Delta
  • Solo
  • Visa Electron/Debit
  • Laser
  • Visa Credit
  • Mastercard Credit
  • Bank Transfer
  • Cheque
  • Neteller
  • Moneybookers
  • Paysafecard

All payment options have a minimum limit of £10. All payments options, with the exception of bank transfer, have a maximum limit of £5000. Bank Transfers have no maximum limit.

All the options are available both for deposit and withdrawal. They are all also processed instantly. There are no fees, with the exception of Visa Credit and Mastercard Credit, which have fees of 1.5%.

You can’t get much better than that for banking options in terms of both simplicity and variety. Top marks all round.

On the other hand

We have no complaints here.

  1. How does the site look/feel?

BETDAQ home page

With the aesthetic element of site design, it’s important to check it out for yourself as tastes do vary.

On the plus side, BETDAQ responds very well, is simply laid out and has a pleasant purple colour scheme.

On the other hand

There’s no two ways around it, BETDAQ looks rather bland. There’s something very out of date about its style. It often feels like a betting site from 2005.

Also to the top of the screen, information just slowly types itself out in a way that is very distracting. Nonetheless, it operates like a modern site and is certainly not ugly. It could just use a few extra bells and whistles to make it a touch more welcoming

  1. How do I sign up?

BETDAQ registration

If you’ve been impressed by what you’ve seen/read and want to give BETDAQ a try, you can sign up by hitting the light blue ‘Join Now’ button to the top right of your screen.

From here, you’ll be taken to an ‘Open an Account’ screen. You’ll be asked for your name, date of birth, email address, address details (country/street/city etc), username, password, security question, betting currency, deposit limit and promotional code. Once you have entered all your details, click the ‘Open an Account’ button and you’re ready to go!

BETDAQ sign up

On the other hand

Bank details will be needed to be added at a later time. While this isn’t a massive issue, it can be quite annoying if you want to instantly start betting for real money.

  1. What’s the overall impression of BETDAQ?

As a site, there’s very little that BETDAQ does wrong. However, it’s equally the case that it never really excels at much either.

The site looks and operates decently but is outclassed by flashier rivals. The promotions are good but fail to deliver a knockout blow. The customer service needs its live chat function sorted out but otherwise should be good. Its reputation is good but not the best. The list goes on.

Overall, we doubt you’ll be disappointed if you sign up to BETDAQ unless you’re looking to spend a lot of time on the casino. On the plus side, there’s no doubt it has a couple of features that aren’t common across betting sites and you’ll likely have a good time. It’s just that for many customers, with so much to choose from, an even better time may lay elsewhere.
