21 Bet Sportsbook Review

21 Bet Review

21 Bet is a modern sports betting and online casino website open to players in the UK. The brand offers a wide variety of markets and games and the majority of 21 Bet  opinions on the web are positive. We take a closer look at this betting operators features in our 21 Bet review. Our expert opinions will shed light on important issues such as usability and bonus conditions. We also put certain key features including site design, registration, banking and support through their paces in our 21 Bet test.

Site Design

How a site looks might not be the most important thing you think of when you’re looking for reasons to sign up to a betting site. You’re probably thinking that your main concern is the quality of the games and the reputation of the site. In other words, are the games fair and possible to win, and will you be able to get your money if you win?  And you’d be right. No matter how good a site looks, none of that matters if you’re losing money. While a site can look pretty damn terrible, if you’ve made some huge wins from a great service, you probably won’t mind too much.

21 Bet site design

However, in 2016, you’re unlikely to find sites that fall into straight up scam territory: at least not ones that last very long in the industry, and with so many great options available for sports betting sites, the style of a website can really have an impact on your fun and enjoyment. Remember, that’s what gaming is supposed to be all about. Most of us will never make a living as a poker ace. For the rest of us, it’s all about the fun factor. Never bet more than you can lose and enjoy yourself. If you happen to win some money, all the better. With that in mind, the design is a big part of the fun and the fun is a big part of the overall experience. This is why it is also one of the focus points in our 21 Bet review.

Overall look and feel

21 Bet is a big, bright and bold site, with a flashy red and white motif. The structure of the page is split into two main toolbars. At the top of the screen, there’s a red toolbar. This matches the ’21’ logo and several other parts of the site. It’s so well integrated that even if there were no toolbar here, it would still appear as a pleasing way of tying the room together, so to speak. This toolbar consists of switching between the sportsbook and casino, VIP, blog, sportsbook promotions, contact us and Terms and Conditions.

21 Bet toolbar

Most gaming sites encounter an issue with too many links to fit onto the homepage and this design choice (partially) deals with this problem beautifully. An example of the thought that has gone into the design of this part of the page is when you click between Sportsbook and Casino: it doesn’t light up or change colour, it actually blends into the background of the main page. Everything looks natural, like a finely constructed piece of architecture.

Overall layout

Below this, the main toolbar is a fairly traditional upper layout. There’s the logo to the upper left, which while not outstanding, is pleasing enough. To the right is the Log In/Sign Up options, and below that is another toolbar which includes Home, In-Play, Football, Horse Racing, Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Darts, Snooker and Cricket. To the right of the toolbar, there’s a drop down list for other sports available.

21 Bet homepage slider

Scroll down further and you’ll see a slider showing the various bonuses on offer, and to the right is a bet slip and a link specifically dedicated to the sign up bonuses. While that’s a fairly standard layout, the inclusion of the bet slip, which keeps a running tab of your bets, is not only a great feature in terms of organisation, but is also a fun throwback to real world betting shops.

Overall homepage

The homepage also features a running list of sports beginning with horse racing. If you click on a specific sport then you get a specific running list but otherwise it looks very similar. As mentioned, everything on the site ties together very well. The only flaw here is that, as well as the site ties together, there’s no overarching concept to the design here to really distinguish it from the competition. Not only that but the casino could have done with a little more distinction from the sports book site.  Nonetheless, it all looks very pleasing and is easy to understand and navigate. There’s no doubt that 21 Bet is designed to an extremely high professional level. Hopefully the rest of the site maintains those high standards.

How to get started

Our 21 Bet review shows you how you can sign up to get your hands on a few bonuses and promos. In order to get started with the site, simply click the bright yellow ‘Sign Up’ button to the top right of the screen. You’ll then be taken through a very simple sign up process.

Step One

First, pick a username. It’s fairly easy to find a name not already taken on 21 Bet so you’ll probably be able to get something personal or creative on there if you wish. Next up you’ll need to enter your e-mail. This address will be where you’ll receive information about promotions (if you choose to receive these updates). It’s therefore best not to use your work e-mail or any other e-mail you don’t want 21 Bets promotions popping up on. Make sure you confirm your e-mail.

21 Bet registration account details

Step Two

You will then have to enter your password. This must be at least 8 characters long. We’d also advise you use a random selection of letters and characters, as well as not reusing passwords you may be using on other sites. Also, don’t use a password that could be reasonably guessed. Essentially, you want a password that is unique enough so no one else can guess it, but one you’ll remember and won’t have to go traipsing around with secret questions to get into your account. Security is of course paramount when you’re dealing with a site in which you are entering bank details and depositing funds.

Confirm your password then enter your title, first name and last name. Next enter your date of birth and your mobile number (once again, this is a contact where 21 bet will not only contact you for issues regarding your account but also for promotions).

21 Bet registration personal details

Step Three

Enter your chosen 21 Bet bonus Code (there’ll be more on promotions later), choose your currency, reaffirm your age and hit Join Now and you are good to go. If you do not want to receive promotions, make sure you un-tick the relevant box. You’ll also want to make sure no information you give here has been used before. You can only have one IP address, e-mail, phone etc and duplicate details could lead to your account being suspended.

This is a very basic form and there’s further information to enter in order to properly use the site, in particular bank information. But for now, you’re registered with 21 Bet and ready to play.

21 Bet test: Customer Service

21 Bet contact us page

Our 21 Bet test took a closer look at this brand’s customer support. There’s very, very little information regarding customer support at 21 Bet. With only a selection of reviews available and a handful of customer reports regarding customer service, it is extremely difficult to gage any kind of consensus in terms of feedback on customer service.

For non members, there’s an e-mail, which is dedicated to resolving issues with signing up. For everyone else, there’s a contact us page with several contact options available. You can also sign up with Facebook or Google Plus if you are so inclined. However, 21 Bet do offer a Live Chat facility which did well in our test. Response times were reasonable and questions answered satisfactorily.

Promotions on offer at 21 Bet

Promotions at 21 Bet

21 Bet offers a wide variety of promotions for new and existing members. Here’s a selection of what is available at the time of writing.

Welcome Offer: Free £10 bet every week

A small welcome offer propelled by its continuous basis, this concept is actually fairly original in the gaming world and is a great way of getting customers to come back on an ongoing basis.

It also goes a long way to push itself apart from sites where everything is offered to new customers and very little is offered to loyal customers. The qualifying bet can only be a bet which is placed and settled at £10 or more at odds of evens or greater. It is necessary to place at least 5 bets which reach these terms within a seven day period. Only one bet may count per event. The number of bets needed to qualify for the promotion goes up to 10 in later weeks. The bet chosen must also be of odds less than 6/1.

Other terms and conditions are available on the site. Overall, despite being quite particular about odds, this is a decent promotion.

Best odds guaranteed

This is a popular promotion across several sportsbooks, such as Ladbrokes and William Hill with good reason. This promotion means that if you’ve picked a horse and your selection wins or places at a bigger starting price, you’ll always get the best odds. It’s very simply a promotion which means you’ll always get the best odds available at this site. So, if you place a bet at 6/1 and those odds change to 8/1, you’ll get the largest odds.

There are a few terms and conditions: the maximum bet increase per race is capped at £5000 and does not apply to enhanced accumulators of specials. Other terms and conditions are available on the site. Not much to argue with in terms of this promotions and it being worthwhile. It’s a win-win deal.

Premier League and La Liga Score Draw Money Back Offer

An excellent offer here: if you place a bet for a first player to score or correct score bet on any Premier League or La Liga match and if that bet loses but the game results in a score draw, you’ll receive a free bet refund equal to the value of your original stake.

There are some terms and conditions here, notably other bets placed on the same game will not count towards the promotions, also the maximum free bet is capped at £25. There are some other basic terms and conditions available on the website. 21 Bet here is going three for three with sensible, good value promotions.

Pick your Promotion

21 Bet Pick your Promo

We’re not sure if this really counts as a promotion in a traditional sense but since it is included on the site under the promotions page, we’ve decided to include it. Very simply, you can pitch a promotion and if the promotion makes it to the main site, you’ll win £25.

To be honest, this seems like a small reward for what could potentially be a big money spinning idea. Still, you don’t see many other sites doing this and it’s a great way of getting customers involved and feeling like a community within the site.

Free bet in the 5plus acca

Here is another simple, fun offer. If you place an accumulator bet of five or more selections and one of those bets fails, you get your stake back up to £50. The minimum odds of this bet is 1/3. There are other simple terms and conditions available on the site. Another decent offer here.

21 Bet seems to have a good thing going with its promotions. There’s no eye popping, super rich bonuses, but there’s also no eye watering wagering requirements. All the promotions here are fair, varied and worth your while. That’s more than we can say for most sportsbooks.

What’s on offer at 21 Bet?

21 Bet has both a casino and sportsbook: although it must be said that the casino has significantly less to offer than the sportsbook. There is only a modest selection of card and table games available. Other betting sites, such as Foxy Casino, have managed to balance having multiple layers to their site with much more consistency.

21 Bet Reputation

The best way to describe 21 Bets’ reputation is that it has no reputation. This site is yet to make a big enough splash in terms of publicity to have received any kind of serious critical or public opinions. The reviews you can find are generally quite positive but there’s not enough of them to be considered a consensus. We had no issues with use of the site though and have encountered no serious issues or credible concerns.

Withdrawing and Depositing funds

21 Bet payment options

Our 21 Bet test found there is little information regarding withdrawing and depositing funds available on the site. All that is outlined is the use of Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Visa Election and Maestro. The minimum and maximum amount of all these deposit methods is £10 and £5,000. There is no specific information of withdrawal options. A disappointing lack of clarity.

21 Bet rating and summary

21 Bet logo

Our 21 Bet review finds a site that feels very much like a work in progress. There’s obviously some exposed sections in this site, which we hope will be addressed as time goes on. For example, our 21 Bet test found the casino needs some more work if they are serious about giving that such a prominent position.

They also need to explain themselves better, particularly regarding depositing and withdrawing funds, as well as clearing up the contact options. This is a key issue with many of the 21 Bet opinions we found on the web.

However, what the site does well, it does very well. Its promotions are absolutely terrific as far as smaller scale bargains go. Our 21 Bet review also gave extra points for their layout and games selection. Given time, this betting operator could become a very big player in the sportsbook world. Our ultimate 21 Bet rating therefore, puts them well above average, an excellent option for UK players.
